Paradise Textiles, the material science and innovation hub of Alpine Group, together with innovation partner Matter, has won the “Best Use of Technology for Good” award at the Drapers Conscious Fashion Awards 2026.
Announced in London on 11 March, the award recognises innovations that help address some of fashion’s most pressing environmental challenges. Paradise Textiles and Matter were selected from a shortlist of 11 finalists in the category.
At the centre of the recognition is Regen®, a pioneering microfibre filtration technology designed to capture microfibre pollution at its source before it enters waterways.
The collaboration began when Paradise Textiles first approached Matter with the goal of tackling microfibre pollution from textile manufacturing at scale. Over the past four years, the teams have worked closely to adapt and scale Regen® for real-world textile production environments.
That work is now reaching an important milestone. Later this year, the first full industrial installation of Regen® will go live at Paradise Textiles’ new low-impact textile mill in Alexandria, Egypt. The installation will demonstrate how technology-led solutions can help reduce microfibre pollution while supporting responsible textile manufacturing.
For brand partners and the wider fashion industry, innovations like Regen® represent an important step forward. They provide a practical pathway to reducing microfibre pollution at scale while continuing to deliver the performance and innovation modern apparel demands.
The Drapers award builds on a milestone year of industry recognition for the Paradise Textiles and Matter collaboration. In 2025, the partnership received the Innovation Award for Industrial Filtration and the Environment Award at the Just Style Awards. It was also named Tech Innovator of the Year at the Drapers Awards.
Matter was also named a finalist for the Earthshot Prize 2025, one of the world’s most prestigious environmental honours.
Together, the partnership demonstrates how collaboration across the textile ecosystem can help unlock practical solutions to some of the industry’s most complex sustainability challenges.
