Alex Apparels has taken an important step in expanding the impact of Alpine Group’s Dignity Kits program by launching a dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) production line to support the initiative.

The program addresses period poverty, a global challenge that extends far beyond health and hygiene. Limited access to menstrual products can prevent women and girls from attending school, participating fully in the workforce and engaging confidently in daily life.Through the Dignity Kits initiative, Alpine Group aims to help remove this barrier by providing reusable menstrual hygiene products alongside education and awareness support.

As part of Alpine Group’s Threading the Future sustainability strategy, the newly established CSR line at Alex Apparels employs a team of five workers and a supervisor dedicated to producing the kits. The latest version of the Dignity Kits has been redesigned to improve durability, comfort and leakage protection, helping ensure the products are practical and long-lasting for the women and girls who receive them.

Until now, Alpine Group’s role in the program has largely focused on preparing and supplying pre-cut materials for distribution partners. Organizations such as Freedom4Girls have then overseen local production in communities including Kenya, where the kits are sewn by local seamstresses to generate employment and skills development.

Production at Alex Apparels had previously been limited to training lines, but the launch of a dedicated CSR line marks a significant milestone in scaling the program’s capacity and expanding its reach. Momentum is already building, with the team targeting the completion of 20,000 kits by March. A further 50,000 kits have already been committed this year for distribution through partners including Freedom4Girls in Kenya and the Egyptian Clothing Bank.

Alongside expanding production, the program also supports menstrual health education delivered through partner organizations to help raise awareness, reduce stigma and ensure recipients are equipped with the knowledge needed to manage menstrual health safely and confidently.

Alex Apparels is also exploring new partnerships that could further extend the reach of the program, as AlpineGroup works toward its longer-term goal of supporting 250,000 women and girls through the Dignity Kits initiative.

By combining product innovation, responsible manufacturing and community partnerships, the program reflects Alpine Group’s broader commitment to creating positive social impact across the communities where it operates and beyond.
